Day1: UK/ Marrakech Meet & greet a your arrival by a member of Anya Travel. Private transfer to your hotel. Diner & overnight accommodation

 

Day2: Marrakech Marrakech: the most alive and engaging town in Morocco. Among all cities of makhzen, it was the one to give its name to the whole kingdom. Founded by Almoravides, its influence goes beyond the mountain boundaries to reach desert confines. It is also the berber city of the country.Today will be dedicated to the Pearl of the South, discovering the city through visiting old palaces of their builders who made the city’s history: Bahia palace, koutoubia minaret, chief of hispano-mauresque art.Diner & overnight accommodation in 3* hotel

 

Day 3 : Marrakech/Casablanca-Rabat (City of 14minarets):

After the breakfast, you will drive north towards the Economical capital of the Kingdom. After a visit the 3rd biggest Mosque of the Muslims world (& the 1st in the whole Maghreb), the Hassan II Mosque, built in the most western land of North Africa, on the ocean line. Continuing your way north, you will reach Rabat, the official capital. Rabat the actual capital of sherifien kingdom, with its large streets and historical heritage: the huge mosque, the famous Hassan tower, the old minaret mosque built by Yacoub el-Mansour. Its enterprise construction very likely before 1195 was abandoned after its founder death (1199). Walk in Oudaias Garden, calme and fragrant, Diner and overnight in your 3* hotel

 

Day4: Rabat-Meknés (Versailles of a big sultan)      

Today, you drive inland, first to Meknes. Meknes: visit of Jamai Palace, big residence constructed in the last age and converted recently to a museum of superb silversmithing’s pieces .Bab el Mansour, one of the most famous northern African gates .It represents for Moulay Ismaïl the coronation of his work as a founder. Discovery of the old imperial city: Moulay Ismaïl palace, its stables, Héri Es Souani.  The afternoon, will be dedicated to the beautiful roman site of Volubilis: vestiges of Triomphe bow and its famous mosaic classified as a worldwide inheritance by the UNESCO & the saintly city of Moulay Idriss which terraces its white and cubic houses on two rocky spurs. It is an important place of pilgrimage, because it shelters the shrine of Moulay  Idriss, the founder of Idrissides dynasty. Then continuing towards Fes (60kms) a spiritual and intellectual city of Morocco.  Diner, overnight a 3* hotel

 

Day 5:  Fes- the most imperial city

A city founded by Moulay Idriss II in 800 years, it is the most ancient between all the imperial cities. Visit: Bab Boujeloud, monumental gate leading to médersé Attarîn and Bou Inania, known by the richness of its interior  decoration, to the apogee of merinide art ,the place and Nejjarine fountain and the andalous area. Walk in the souks: Attarine souk to the fragrant and multicoloured spices, boilermaker souk who drums on boilerworks and trays and chisel, teapots and vases, dry cleaners souk. Tanners area with a strong smell, where the big leather is coloured offering an impressive spectacle.Beautiful look at the ramparts.

Then visiting the zaouia of Moulay Idriss which shilters Idriss II shrine. The entrance is made of sculpted and painted wood. Through a half-open door we see a prayers room with its various collection of clocks .Diner and overnight in a 3 or 4*hotel.

 

Day6: Between Medium and High Atlas: traditional and berber Morocco Departure to the Middle Atlas, the climatic station of Ifrane founded by French in the beginning of 1930, in alpines stations style.. On the  way, you will drive through plateaux getting to Midelt in the foot of the High Atlas capital of carpets in the country .Overnight and diner in a 3 or 4* hotel.

 

Day7: Middle-Atlas – Errachidia/Erfoud/Merzouga

Today, you will first drive through the Ziz Gorges, where the best dates come from,  before reaching Errachidia. Then contuining south pass Erfoud to reach the  world famous ERG chebbi better known as Merzouga. Camel ride to enjoy the sunset in the Dunes. Diner & Overnight accommodation in the 3-4* hotel .Possibility to sleep in nomad camp in the dunes. Optional.

 

Day 8 : Merzouga/ Todra/Vallée des Roses/ /Ouarzazate

After breakfast departure Skura, the valley of 1001 Kasbah.  After few kilometres after Tineghir, visit of Todrà gorges, that reveal their beauty in the morning. They are in the bottom of a valley scattered of incredible palm groves and Berber villages. You will then admire the Dades Valley, before reaching  Kelaa M'Gouna village, famous centre for production of rose water, in the Famous Valley of the Roses, full blossomed in April giving a subtle & beautiful fragrance at the whole area. Diner & overnight in local & traditional 3* hotel with large scented garden & swimming pool.

 

Day 9: Skoura/Ouarzazate/Ait Ben Haddou/Marrakech

Leaving The Palm Grove of Skoura you will drive past Ouarzazate before stopping at the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, Unesco World heritage.

Drive to Marrakech, via one of the most beautiful road f the country, over the High Atlas mountain, via the ichka Pass (2260m high), reaching the Haouz low lands & Marrakech, late afternoon. Diner & overnight in centrallylocated 3* hotel.

 

Day 10: Marrakech

Transfer to airport, assistance to check in. Please allow 2 hours for check in & customs.
